NZ to Fiji by Sailboat 2013

We helped a friend transport his sailboat from New Zealand to Fiji (1500 nautical miles on the open water over 7 days). Neither of us had ANY sailing experience whatsoever, so the learning curve was steep! It was just the 3 of us, so we took shifts around the clock to keep an eye on the autopilot. My favorite part of the trip was watching the photo-luminescent plankton in our wake in the complete darkness. It was magical.
