It will take a few days for us to get our Trail Legs, but what a beautiful day! The first half of today’s hike was along the Irish Sea. It was a bit drizzly and windy, but still a nice start to the day. Overall, it was a really challenging day for our bodies!

As expected on a trip like this, we‘ve met lovely, friendly hikers along the way. We’ll be seeing many of these same faces for the next 13 days.
Nearly everyone else is having their packs transported from point to point, and only carrying small day packs. Our plan is to haul our gear ourselves, but I did get the number of a bag courier just in case!
This is our first night of camping. Throughout this trip we intend to camp 2 consecutive nights and spend our 3rd night in an Inn or Guest House.

We’re about to turn in for the night, but first a quick glimpse of what we’re drinking: Kristine Duke will be happy to know I found and enjoyed Old Mout Cider. Bob’s drinking Banks’s Amber Bitter… it’s his favorite so far (he always says that).

Looking forward to tomorrow. Apparently it will be more challenging than today!
